You just don't get it. Would you say the same to ibis because you know you could just use a tripod, man or have someone else roll in the dolly? Time, money, run and gun, uncontrolled shoot, gimbals, limited crew etc... are just a couple of reasons why it would make sense to put "organic focus" lower than a lot of other things on the to do list.

I understand very well, but it produces so much with little artistic quality ...

it's not that I have to explain ABC of filmography, if you know how to make a real movie...The lenses are manuals

I'm not sure what you are talking about? Are you saying AF is not "Pro"? Honestly I could care less what is "Pro"... I use a gimbal and motion controllers and often times control multiple cameras at once.  AF is a needed feature for these situations. I'm not talking about elaborate focus pulling... I'm taking about locking onto a subject and keeping it in focus. The primary reasons I do not buy Reds and Arri are: size, weight, lack of AF and convenience. If that changes I might have to rethink things.

This new "pocket" camera is simply too large and bulky to be the kind of camera I would carry day to day.  It's size and bulk relegate it to planned shoots. The kind of shoots my C200 is used for. The only thing this camera has going for it imo is price. But honestly, price is not a dominant factor in my purchasing decision. The more important factor for me is convenience of use... because if it is not convenient to use,  well... I don't use it.

I don't know what kind of filmography or if it is only videography like youtuber ... my advice is to find one or more people that help you to shoot without Af, but with the followfocus ... like everyone ... because you are blocking yours artistic expression ...

The next resolution will be 8K I guess.

Red monstro and Panavision DXL2 are 8K, was also announced by Zcam E2-F8 at 8k in October

There is actually a line of discussion that suggests that part of the cinematic magic that ARRI cameras create is the fact that they upscale from 3.2K and don't shoot 4K natively, putting this as a massive plus in the aesthetic rather than the liability some perceive it as.

I'm afraid that the magic of Arri (or Panavision) ... is in the sophisticated electronics behind the sensor ... and firmware..

after which any post processing is easier just in consideration of the raw matter ...

I'm a prosumer ...  lack of good AF...

    if you:  prosumer

you don't need this AF...we are serious ... on semi pro and pro they might not even put any Af, and I hope they (Sony, Panasonic, Red, Bmd...ecc) do it as soon as possible!

And Friend we are talking WAY out of most peoples price range. Sure I can by a Red VV if I had a ton of money.  I am just suggesting maybe a cheaper option. And the Kinefinity 6K is not even a proven system yet. It might be a dog. My opinion also.

I'm on your side, I was saying the same thing but bringing Zcam (similar to Kinefinity) ... even though it's still in preproduction, but it should have prices for our pockets ..
    E2-S6: s35 6k ....--- $ 2995
    E2-F6: Full Frame 6K ...--- $ 4995
    E2-F8: Full Frame 8K ...--- $ 5995

I wonder if a person could take a Canon C300 mk II and put a Speedbooster on it and not do as well? Sure has a nice look to it. Hard to beat a Canon C camera.

Friend! : Full Frame, 6k or 8k (zcam F8) and the possibility of mounting any type of optics and other... we are talking about a new generation ...

canon: s35, 4k and only ef mount (or pl mount maybe).
It seems an old thing, of a past time ...
if a person has a Canon ecosystem also c300 all right...

    it's just my opinion,

I guess if you don't count Amsterdam, Poland, Belgium, the Czech Republic, and Spain, then, yeah, there's only one distributor in Europe. I'd bet they add U.S. soon, too:

    http://www.kinefinity.com/kineteam/contact-us/?lang=en

None of those have it in the shop to try or demo I think ... and do not just make an announcement on online store ... this also understands a child ...
Pre-order you can do it where you want but then you have to buy ...

This is kind of a ridiculous statement. Not sure how you can make such a sweeping judgment not having shot on the camera.

re: S35 vs Full-Frame - one of the cool things about shooting on a full-frame camera like the Mavo LF is you can always bump down to S35 mode and shoot on a traditional frame size in 4k at any time. I did it the other day.

When they sell the camera from the suppliers, be sure I'll go
surely to try it, but it seems that nobody wants to sell it (distribute it).
    in Europe only one

    https://hdvideoshop.com/en/kinefinity/4341-preorder-kinefinity-mavo-mavo-lf.html?search_query=mavo&results=14

... another is no longer europe ...

    https://www.proav.co.uk/kinefinity-mavo-6k-cinema-camera

I can tell you that in Italy in the last three months have been sold between 2000/3000 BMPC4K and any kinefinity 0

some reason is ... (maybe the price!) the BMD like all the others I find at the store near the house.

Almost like they're just randomly thrown together.

Yes I confirm, but it was only to give an answer to the price ...
I remember that I follow Kine and that the camera is good,
but for me not the price that is sold ...
I repeat for the third time, the market will make its choice in this discussion.

  11. 17 minutes ago, AlexTrinder96 said:

So you're saying large format is not useful in any way?

No I'm saying that most of the old cinema lenses (randomly 85%) in possession of the PRO are s35 ... the LF sensor is for those who fall back on cheap lenses derived from photography, and only marginally to the new FF cinema that are expensive .
From your previous question: Sony FS5 / FS7 / F5 - Varicam LT- All Blackmagic- Canon C100-200-300 ... all have lower or equal costs (varicam LT).

    17 minutes ago, AlexTrinder96 said:

How can you make such a sweeping statement without using the cam?

It is practically impossible to try, because it does not exist (in Italy) ... I tried all the others though ... and then a lot of research, so many movies seen, and so many years of passion.

If you have good eyes, a good monitor and experience you can see ...

  12. 13 minutes ago, AlexTrinder96 said:

I never said it was as good. Can you name another company that have a large format cinema camera with similar features, under £15k? Even £20k? Otherwise, no this comparison isn't wrong. This camera is obviously not aimed at Hollywood studios... It is priced competitively for what you get.

Perhaps the mistake for many is that the large format is a plus, when it is not so ...
the S35 sensor is still the format for cinema ...
as a whole, it is not up to par, despite the company's effort to be ambitious.
Then the market will do its part ...Attention to buyers could be a very expensive firm card.
