The Mark VI is a very unique camera
It's very close to a mini RX10II without the mic input and better slow motions features. The lens is also sharper than RX10II that can take better stills.
I think a reasonable price would probably be $850-900. The look of having 240fps @ 200 mm is quite interesting,  very similar to FS700 which cost $9000 back in 2013:

the cheapest setup is probably iPhone SE and Spark
biggest bang for the buck for slow motion + aerial + some 4k footages

eoslover got a reaction from MacMurphy in First couple of videos of RX100VI
Some of the shots taken with telephoto end (100-200mm) seems pretty impressive
It could be F4/F4.5 with ISO 3200/6400, quite usable?
wish it doesn't overheat after 5 mins though

eoslover got a reaction from MacMurphy in The XZ2 Premium smartphone is the king of lowlight
When it comes to video, it can shoot upto ISO 12800 and currently the only smartphone that can do that.
The main camera has a large 19 MP 1/2.3” Exmor RS sensor, f/1.8 lens, and 1.22μm pixel size. The secondary snapper is a 12 MP 1/2.3” monochrome unit to boost low-light performance. The lens is f/1.6, while the pixel size is 1.55μm. The secondary camera works together with the main camera to improve image quality.
This is a very unique feature and requires a much faster AUBE fusion engine to do the whole process
The performances are shown below (in a very dark indoor environment):
as compared to Huawei P20pro and S9+:
So far it looks like the low light shots are pretty good.

Finally Sony does something unique in their smartphone lineup, it also comes with a 4K HDR display and High Frame Options upto 960fps.
The downsides are the size, weight and some may find the design looks a bit old fashion.

FWIW, I received a questionnaire from Sony, as an A7s ii owner, last week on the features I would like to see added to the A7s ii (along with questions on what I used the camera for etc.). This would suggest that they are at least considering a successor, but it would seem a long way off. I also received a similar questionnaire on the FS5 recently, another camera due for an upgrade.

i'm very interested in those clips because there are so many youtubers day by day i wouldn't watch a daily vlog for 10+ mins anymore

The entry level to mid, are probably the biggest market in cameras right now, and I guess always was. In the sales charts that people post from time to time, at the top 20 are cameras JUST released (so there are people waiting for these) and the rest are older models selling for cheap.
That no one buys cameras anymore, its a big fat lie, actually CIPA members sold almost 12.000.000 ILC cameras (system cameras, both dSLR and mirrorless) last year, and a similar number the year before, and it seems that this number has been stabilized. With all the new cameras we are having this year, it may exceed that number. And there are other camera manufacturers that do not belong to CIPA as well.
All the statistics are here, if anyone can waste 10 minutes of his/hers time, will realize that the only think that is going down, is the point and shoot market which honestly, their mobile phones are better for the intendent use. The market has corrected itself, after the "wild" years of the abundance, that everyone and their mom - literally - owned a dSLR (closets full of them at the moment!), that never did more than 99 clicks, now people that truly care about the image buy cameras.

The camera phone revolution, I believe will bring more young people into video/photography, and it seems that video creation will be a 1st grade course sooner or later! A long time ago I taught cinema in young kids in summer school, and some of them at the age of 7-8 had the basic knowledge to create short movies on their own. I would guess, after half a decade since then, kids are more video educated.
This camera, I won't buy, but it clearly shows that Canon (and there are evidence from the latest interviews) for the very first time is seeing mirrorless as it is, the future, and in the future, I would like to see what their top APS-C mirrorless could do.

Look guys, every sub $1000 camera has handicapped 4K. Panasonic has a crop, albeit a smaller crop, but it’s a smaller sensor. Sony has overheating or time limits. And Fuji has time limits. Canon has a larger crop but it also has the highest bitrate 4K in the sub $1000 market. There are concessions to be made in the sub $1000 market. Hell, Panasonic’s entry level camera doesn’t even have manual video.

Can we at least all agree that this camera is CANON’s entry level mirrorless? They specifically state that in their release.
It doesn’t matter what other manufacturers charge for their entry level camera. This is the lowest camera in their mirrorless line.

most eos m owners already own that 22mm, its a sharp and fast lens but really not suitable for arms length vlogging
11-22mm probably much better, even with 2.4x crop it is 26mm which is totally fine
without crop the 15-45mm is perfect

it will be the best seller in youtube industry and hurt a lot of Sony/Panasonic entry - mid range budget cameras
