On this FB group there is one guy who is very close to people who develop NX1... so Samsung engineers will probably check that (I hope so)
 

Sandro, something like that has been tried before with no luck, but one more attempt would not harm. There should be two 'sections', one with suggestions, one with bugs. Ppl should be able to upvote, so to change the order of priorities in the list.

Samsung should really create a bug tracker system. If it doesn't exist I will gladly make one so we can collect all bugs for engineers to see.

We should keep on promoting those links and those topics in order to inform samsung engineer.
We have to be patient, I really believe in Samsung support...

I've wanted a full frame camera ever since I got my 600D, I thought that was the way to go, better image quality overall and better bokeh. But as I've learned more and more on photography and video, I realizes that is not what I needed, and actually started looking at smaller and smaller sensors (GH4 M43). At this point i've decided to get the NX1, and I dont have any second doubt this is the best video camera I can get for the money, that surpasses any other sensor out there.

The latest update stops movie standby mode from reverting back to photo mode after a clip is done recording.

​I just got my NX1 yesterday to compliment my A7s. Loving just about everything about this camera right now with the exception of focus peaking and zoom assist you point out here. I've really gotten used to that on my A7s and find it really useful. 

It is important that both our written suggestions and your video reach someone at samsung.

My idea is that the algorithms in nx1 could be further enhanced by samsung. From the link I shared in another thread, it is evident how in stills, iso 100 pushed ahead of 6 stops is better than internal iso 6400 on nx1.
 
Hence there is a potential dr in the raw image captured by the sensor at base iso which is NOT achieved either in internal high iso raw, or in encoded video.

Not strictly video related, but I was stunned by this:

Imo the nx1 is well ahead of others, when ev is pushed ahead. The incredible thing is that nx1 fares much better when pushing iso 100 ahead of 6ev, then in its iso 6400 mode!

I've wanted to since version 1. Its not here on version 3. We want it and there is certainly no harm in asking for it. Its only a discussion because you are making it one. If you dont need the feature there is no need for you to weigh in on it. We all want the feature, so we are going to ask for it. 

I am totally with the op. This is absolutely the most glaringly offensive lack of a feature on this camera. 
 
Is there seriously harm in asking for a simple feature to be added? This is the 3rd overhaul of the camera, still no exposure lock

Geez, why so offensive about a little feature request. 
 
It is not a bug, it is just a very simple software feature that is not there and should be pretty easy to add.
Just like a smartphone, the standard camera app doesn't have exposure lock most of the times. Many 3rd party apps do.
 
Most GoPro users won't care for exposure lock or don't even know what it is. They just want to press a button and end up with a good looking video. Which is what the GoPro does.
 
But if you want to mix GoPro video with your dslr footage it would be nice to be able to lock the exposure. That's all what's being asked for here.
 
With adding exposure lock GoPro is not going to cannibalize any of their own products, it would just make the product better and they'd probably sell more of them. To me for example...

According these two videos - it seems that GH2 is more noisy in dark areas + GoPro has much better resolution than 5DmkIII and slightly better than GH2 (necessary to download original file). And it seems that 4K has lower dynamic range than 2,7K.
