I've noticed that as well. Hasn't been a huge issue for me yet but it's rather annoying.

Would this problem be the same for the Kowa 16-S too?

Are you finding this lens to be usable with your taking lens being wide open?

Quite a set up!

I was looking into that one as well as the D Support. I just need that extra point to hold everything up.

Lens Support

Hey guys,
Just got my anamorphic rig set up and was wondering if anyone had any good recommendations for lens support? When I have my Kowa 16-S on my Canon 50mm f/1.4 and pull focus, it looks a little wobbly. I'd like to have something to support the set up in between both lenses. I have RedStan clamps. Thanks! -
The punch in on the GH3 is working fine for me. I love how you can move around the punch in screen as well. Very handy. I'd be fine without those features.
-
I have this lens as well! Waiting for some clamps to get here then I'll be doing my own tests.
-
It's preference, really. Both are great lenses. Depends on what focal length you think you'd need.
-
That's absurd, but awesome.

I'll have to start trying 1/40. Always down to experiment.

Mine is coming on Wednesday! Stoked. Glad to see people finally getting their hands on them.

Maybe they get larger shipments at one time than the other retailers so that's why the're often backordered? Not too sure, but that might make sense.

MY PRE-ORDER IS FINALLY IN AT B&H. Checked my order status and it's in stock and should be shipping soon.

You've owned a GH2 before right? And didn't notice the more video look before? Not coming off as rude, but just an observation.
Full frame isn't a deal breaker for me as I don't really find a need for it for what I'm doing. Just stick with GH2. Tons of support for it here and elsewhere on the internet, tons of lens options, patches for amazing quality...The 5D is too mushy for my taste and not worth it for me. You can always do some post work to edit the image to your liking.
Glass never lets you down, it's true, digital bodies come and go...
Couldn't agree more. Invest in glass. Any of those cameras are good though so whichever route you take you'll be good!

I'm also thinking about that servo lens that's now available separately. I think it's the same optical design as the one you're talking about. It's a shame it's so slow though...
Don't get that servo zoom Sony lens. It zooms so slow it's not even worth it.

Why not rent some and find out? Since you shoot GH2 you can adapt anything to it. They have macro lenses as well.

Samy's has some in stock still...If I don't hear any word from B&H by the end of the month I'm jumping ship.

Kenmore Camera has them in stock.

None myself, but people seem to like them. I love the 20mm pancake lens, but it might be a little too wide for you. Oly 45 should be good. Haven't had a chance to use it. I'd go old SLR primes. Hard focus stops and a less digital look.

Find something between 25mm and 50mm. Voightlander 25mm is amazing, which would give you an effective 50mm, and you can find tons of primes on eBay that might suit your needs. Canon FD, Nikkor, Olympus...tons of options.

Looking back at some footage from a past shoot it definitely interfered with a few seconds of footage that I needed. Really hope they fix this as well as keeping the on screen data on the display while shooting.
