    Anyone interested?
This Lut fixes the brown tint, gamut clipping, roll-off issues, skin etc. and is made to look similar to RED IPP2 Soft Rec709 conversion - a conversion Lut to RedWideGamut/RedLog3G10 for a native IPP2 workflow is also provided.
Can't wait to hold the Pocket 6K in my own hands - seems like it's more color accurate.

As much as it has crossed my mind, I just cannot let either the Micro or the OG pocket go. Even if I rarely use them, they just produce such a beautiful image.

P6k is twice the price of p4k. It's not an update but different product. It's like saying that Sony A7III is just an update to A6500 (same price difference). Not mentioning media price (p4k 60p works with cheap Samsung T5 ssd, p6k may need something much pricier).
For me p6k is not an option. My whole setup with p4k is something around p6k price. And the spec is not much different in my case: don't need 6k (even 4k is little too much for me); need slowmotion a lot, so full sensor 50p In p6k is a downgrade to me; sensor size is the only difference i like, but definitely not worth the price difference.
I dont need this camera, but i'm very happy to see it. It has the same software, which means that we will see more fixes, upgrades and more stable product.

Ed you are a hero with this research.
I will have to spend tomorrow going through it properly and try to understand all the facts. There's a lot to get one's head around that's for sure.

Anamorphic modes are coming to pocket 4k, also s16.
Take a leaf out of @BTM_Pix's book and epoxy the booster onto the camera and eliminate all hassle forever... or leave it on there without the epoxy

I know I'm dreaming on some of these but I'm hoping for:
    - Anamorphic mode for the Pocket
    - New VA monitors that can control the BM Cameras
    - A small EVF designed for the Pocket
    - BRAW announced for the older BM Cameras
They'll probably announce shipping date for the Battery Grip also

    - I hope for anamorphic mode on the pocket, if they can make it work like 2K anamorphic is already good.
    - Hoping on some goodies for the ursa mini pro g1 also.

I've been happy with the audio through XLR on the P4k as well.

I have used my P4Ks with the current Metabones 0.71x adapter with many different lenses (usually the Sigma 18-35) without issue. I have not noticed a single issue with the IQ when using the current adapter. I would be very interested to test my current adapters and the new ones side by side. To hear the marketing speak from Metabones, the newest adapter is the greatest thing ever   Having a longer mounting plate would be cool, but I just got the mount for my cage and it holds the adapter well.
The existing M43 Metabones adapters work well with the P4K. Will the new Metabones adapters work better? Probably. But, it isn't like you have to run out and purchase one. The existing ones work well.

Or you can choose not to believe the Metabones marketing hype and just use the adaptor you have. I'm sure Metabones will sell more speedboosters by saying that you need a new one for the Pocket4K.
And to be fair, this has nothing to do with BMD. BMD is not going to say you will need a new Speed Booster and it's not their problem in the slightest anyway.
Again, I used a Viltrox Adaptor on a Netflix Doc and no-one has had any complaints about the image.....and that's comparing it to the other C300MkII's using L series native glass we had on the shoot.
Comparing to FS5II is strange too. How much do you need to spend to record RAW or even a 10bit codec to the FS5?
You can 100% shoot RAW and 10bit with the pocket 4k just by adding a lens (Which you also need for the FS5),  variable ND filter and a few extra batteries.
I think you are over reacting.

The Resolve dongle that came with the first BMCC in 2013 still works with Resolve 16 Studio for me
Incredible. This was a free dongle with a camera.
But no matter how good the competition is, coming off Premiere is like trying to stop smoking. Not easy due to the years of muscle memory.

The free version of Resolve has almost all the functionality of the paid version, and a one-off purchase (of $300 IIRC) potentially comes with unlimited future upgrades. They don't guarantee that, but I bought a dongle when v12 was out and it still works on v16, and people who bought at?previous versions are also around saying the same thing.
If you buy a physical dongle then I think you can use it across however many computers you like, just not at the same time, and you won't be subject to the Apple store licencing restrictions.
There are also threads of people petitioning BM to give it still image editing so they can also ditch LightRoom, but I'm not sure on how likely that is.

Consider my mind blown... I will have to do some testing with my cameras now.
Native ISO is really 400 and 4000, and it clips at lower levels as the ISO drops below the default ISOs. ISO 100 = 83% clipping point.

graphicnatured reacted to Andrew Reid in EXCLUSIVE: Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K gets Time of Flight Autofocus with Prototype add-on
Time of Flight / LiDAR continuous autofocus is really quite remarkable technology. There are rumours Panasonic will implement it on future cameras like the GH6. Don’t you wish the current autofocus-challenged cameras like the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K or GH5 could have amazingly smooth Dual Pixel AF-like performance?
Well, you could soon be in luck. Time of Flight Autofocus is a reality and I’ve seen it working.
With this prototype add-on, a Time of Flight sensor sits in the hotshoe and talks wirelessly to the Pocket 4K. The autofocus motors in the Micro Four Thirds lens are commandeered based on real-time depth sensing information from the LiDAR beam.
I met up with CDA-TEK’s Ian (BTM_Pix on the forum) this week in Manchester to take a look at what he’s been working on.

While this is of course true, speaking in terms of relativity; I could either buy this EVF, or another P4K for the same(ish) price. And I know which route I'd go.
I personally don't even feel and EVF is strictly necessary. I've shot with the P4K in very bright sunlight, and while it was a little challenging, it was far from impossible and I got great results. Here's a couple examples, both shot with no external batteries, monitors, hoods etc. Just the camera and 14-140mm Pana lens. Here you can see by the shadows that I'm on the sunny side of the street.

And here, there are no shadows, which shows the screen would have been hit by direct sunlight.
(Grabs are off YoutTube, so anyone looking for blue sky funniness, it's on compression not the camera)
