There appear to be people who have never used a M43 and seem to want to have one with features found on top end full frame or the C-Line of Canon Cameras. It reminds me of the Apple Fan boys trolling on all Android sites.
It's plain ludicrous. It completely defeats the purpose of a healthy debate.

I agree about the lens choices too.
Can't figure Why the M43 makers don't concentrate on Faster Lenses. Like maybe a few f1.8 zooms or f.95 primes
Even if it means collaborating with Voigtlander or Sigma. Leica is great but their prices aren't.

Is it really so much for us to ask for it to have a coffeemaker built in, though? I mean we've got IBIS now, so caffeine jitters won't be an issue. This is obviously the next logical step here.

In all fairness though the 5x zoom range of the Leica 12-60 f/2.8-4.0 is great!

Makes sense. I think I will stick to 0/-5/0/-5 also.
Yes, Ultra Contrast 2 Filter was used which I have put between the speedbooster and lens - flaring issues are greatly improved. Window is really blown because it was already golden hour and the sun was directly shining through the window.

I did some tests today with different settings and Andrew's Procolor mode. Forgive me my awesome hangover look - 4K screencaps
This is the OOC Standard Profile with 0/-5/0/-5:

And this is with Procolor applied:

To be honest, I dont really like it. My skin looks as if I had sex with an orange.
This is my own quick grade with Filmconvert:

And since I am using normally Standard with -5/-5/-5/-5, here are the same shots again.
    First OOC:

    Procolor:

    Own grade:

To my eyes, there are no real differences between -5 on all and -5/0/-5/0. Yet, maybe I didnt recover totally.

Best thing about this holiday season, GH5 leaks!
Also, 2 different lenses are pictured.  One is the Leica 12-60 f/2.8-4.0, and the other is Lumix 12-60 f/3.5-5.6.  Neither all that terribly exciting.  Would love to see a surprise announcement of a Leica 25mm f/1.2 with an dedicated aperture ring.

All rumors so far have been great but it highlighted that Panasonic needed a better autofocus system and higher fps in 1080p.  I really hope this these rumors are true.  It's shaping up to be the ultimate camera.

Dynamic range could be pushed of it probably does the Log even better. I suddenly suspect that the GH5 may actually be a multi-aspect sensor and thus different from the Olympus EM1 Mark ii.
I doubt whether the Dynamic Range will cross 13 stops (the GH4 was 12.8). Also, I wish Panasonic could consider 14 bit RAW or atleast very workable RAW photos.
If it does 12 stops in video, it would be be good enough especially if it does 10 bit at pretty high megabits.
I wouldn't dismiss the focussing speed on the GH5, though the 6.5 stops of stabilisation (IBIS and OIS) on the EM1 mark ii is absolutely insane.

Actually I saw and compared all the pics again. I stand corrected about dynamic range in the 3rd pic. But there is a return to the green tint. Not as much as the 1st pic, but it does return a little. Maybe you could use a warm grade with more orange or yellow while reducing for red grade.

Where do you see it clipping? Her face? Maybe my monitor is out of wack... I can see the that the red skintone is significantly reduced between pictures 2 and 3, but I don't see a major increase in the green in picture 3... at least not to the point I say to myself- "it's green!" Anyway, I like both better than the first one.

I like the EOSHD Procolor applied. In the 3rd pic the green colour tint returns with clipping of the dynamic range too.

I made a quick test with all the recommendations listed in the EOSHD Procolor pdf with the exception of NR (which I set to -5). Here are some results as to what it does to my daughter's skin color in front of window light:
    1) The original:

    2) EOSHD Procolor applied

    3) Just for fun, EOSHD Procolor and FilmConvert FJ Velv 100

Let me know what you think. I like it.

I voted for the EM1.2 since its the first serious entry into the video world from Olympus, being a new player like the XT2, that's most interesting to me. The a6500 video is identical to the a6300, there's no difference from an imaging standpoint, and we've seen the IBIS in the a7rII for a year and a half. The Panasonic is a known commodity as well since the GX80/85 has been around for awhile. M5 is a mirrorless 80d, yawn. 5d4 is only meh.
    Just my opinion.

I'd be curious to see a GH4 vs. G85 shootout on moire/aliasing, and IQ in 1080p modes (because of the G85's much lower bitrate), especially for shots with lots of motion.
The reports of the EM1II being soft in every mode other than C4K has killed my interest in that camera.

So, I spent about 3 hours trying to figure out exactly what the best contrast setting would be for specular highlights. The goal was to avoid any high-contrast lines between blown-out portions which is often a tell-tale of poor video quality.
    Methodology
I placed a shiny rounded object on a surface and had a light source in the distance. I adjusted camera settings so that focus was sharp, on a tripod, fixed aperture (F1.7), shutter at 1/50, ISO 200, fixed WB. With Zebras set at 105 IRE, I made sure part of the shiny object was overexposed then recorded 4k video in Natural profile (sharpness= -5, NR = -5, saturation = 0). Contrast was first set at +5, then went down from there to -5 with a total of 11 videos takes.
    I made these observations:
Panasonic does a great job at keeping a subtle degradation from blown-out areas to areas with detail. Contrast settings seem to simply shift midtones up or down, there was only a small shift in the shadow floor, if any. I found it difficult to match 2 shots with different contrast settings; so, something else might be happening with the curve. Increased midtones in post yielded superior results (noise & artifacts) when contrast was at “-5”. Conclusions
There’s no real benefit for specular highlights in terms of them looking more “video-like” when contrast was set at any of the 11 settings. However, if you plan on increasing midtones in post, you’ll have superior results with contrast set at -5. Otherwise, you’ll need to live with no visible detail in the dark parts of the image.

sanveer got a reaction from shooter in DJI just slaughtered GoPro with Mavic
IMHO if we keep the video aside, for a moment, the DJI Mavic is way more advanced than the GoPro Karma, simply by the insane level of its features (travel range, speed, ability to tackle obstacles, follow users, respond to gestures for commands, sending great quality video to the controller/ smartphone, being like 1/3rd or 1/4th the size of the GoPro Karma, etc etc). These features alone push it into a different league.

Then add the price difference. The GoPro throws in a removable camera, and a removable gimbal, but for a lot more (many hundred dollars more). If DJI had a removable camera module, with a built in stabilizer or a stabilizer stick, the GoPro would have been a joke. I doubt whether Anyone would have bought it.

As a Drone they aren't even in the same category, atleast where features are concerned.
