  1. yup ...
12 or 13.9 MP are overshot for 1080p...
8MP would be perfect ... my English is less than perfect but i try to explain ...
2x2 pixel binning in 8MP sensor gives perfect 1080p image ....
but if 12MP sensor does 2x2 we get 3MP image ...
then camera CPU needs to do quick'n'dirty realtime resizing to 1080p and that introduce softness to image and some moire/aliasing ...
  2. BMCC doesn't have have AA filter ... BMD decide to go LEICA way for best resolution and color separation ....

we will see some moire in charts but in real world almost never ....
and dont forget that c300 resolves 1200 lines of resolution over nyquist limit ...
that makes BMC even more impressive ....

  3. for all future BMC users this is "coming to age" process ... going from DSLR and baked gammas to RAW can be hard ....
and people will make mistakes ... its much easer to professional DPs with all direct help from camera manufactures and digital experts...
but indie guys will be left alone to help each other ...for me that blog post was very helpful , more than some camera reviews .... their mistakes make our skills better ...
  4. but now serious ... people should show respect for someone hard work ....Grant Petty looks like a decent guy who knows his jobs and he done presentation without BS and hype but with lot of passion and knowledge ... i would hate to see someone read comments from some guy with more ego than knowledge and confused that ignorant rant with real information and make opinion ....
