RobD got a reaction from srgkonev in One Ring to adapt them all
I have a few Minolta MD lenses and Zhongyi Lens Turbo Adapter II (Minolta MD - MFT). Work well for me.

Great video. A lot of work went into that. amazing what you can do with a GX80 and a bit of imagination!

RobD got a reaction from Nikkor in Vectorscope Waveform for Windows.
Many years ago I used a Plugin "Scopo Gigio" that was available for Photoshop and After effects. This would be ideal if you could still get it. Cheers, Rob

I picked up some tips from this video too. Have you tried shooting in manual mode with 1/30 shutter?

More for less is exactly what the GX80 is all about. Personally, I got the gx80 because I wanted to start out and be able to get a few primes after. It completely fits my needs. It's offering top-tier IQ with 4k in a small package, truly in the spirit of M43. I have reached my "good enough" camera.

Somehow I missed this review of the GX80's IBIS vs the GX8... interesting.

I made a test comparing iso 400 - 6400 on skin tones if anyone is interested:
It looks pretty good up to 1600 and I think, but it's still usable in from 3200 all the way to 6400 in some situations. Might need some noise reduction though...

I saw this yesterday, and I was blown away. The Difference is almost Night and Day.

Here is the edit from my first real video job. Unfortunately I was only able to capture the preparations as the parade was cancelled due to lightning and torrential rain. Horrible weather to work in. Too bad, as all the kids and organisers put tonnes of time into preparations. Handheld using two GX80 with the Panasonic 12-35/2.8 and 35-100/2.8 lenses (the LX100 for time-lapse).

RobD got a reaction from User in Premiere Pro CC (14.2/ 8.2.0) - 2013 Macbook Pro - Exports Taking Too Long
Not sure what codec you are rendering to but video and audio combined will take much longer than audio only files. Why not queue them up and let Adobe Media encoder spit them all out overnight. Cheers, Rob

yeah, to the camera it is seeing 35mm lens with a 35mm field of view, and that is the correct focal length to enter for the ibis/camera calibration..

Thanks Justin! So the camera suggested the correct focal length. 50mm = 35mm.

RobD reacted to Andrew Reid in Olympus E-M1 and E-M5 II review revisited - massive new firmware updates and speedy Metabones AF
Went and got the E-M5 II with version 1.0 firmware instead, will try shooting a test scene in V1 then upgrade to V2 and see what the difference is.

RobD got a reaction from Hitfabryk in Olympus E-M1 firmware update to address video mode - but will we get 24p and higher bitrates?
Looks like the EM5II will get 25p so how about an upgrade for the EM1?
