A friend of mine do something similar but with the wacom Cintiq.

My big concerns with any Sony camera is the overheating and the LCD screen protector than tend to degraded on some cameras.

A s35mm sensor with m4/3 mount is available in the JVC LS300 camera, so, yes, still a posibilty.
But i don't think that Panasonic take that route, but yes the GH5 need to make a huge step forward to compete against Sony offerings.
2.5k RAW recording, 13 stops, clean 3200 ISO and in body stabilization is what I'm waiting for the GH5.

Choose which you feel better, both are great tools; I'm a Adobe user but FCPX has been improving over the time and i really like the interface more than the Premiere Pro but I'm already used to Premiere.
In your case my recommendation it go for the FCPX because is a lot cheaper and at the end both make the task.

The Gh4 is my workhorse camera, is very easy to use, the battery keep running for a long time, many video recording options, long recording time, in camera 4k recording. Is a great camera for almost any situation.
The a7s has a much lovely image, greater dynamic range, cleaner image at high iso. Is the camera i use when want to create a more artistic aproach, and a is a great photo camera too.

I considered happy if Olympus at least improved the 1080p image add 24/25fps option or allow uncompress and clean HDMI live view output.

According to metabones, the Canon 24-105mm F4 is manual only on the Smart Adapter III, i have the Zeiss and is not better than the Canon optically speaking and have focus by wire, but have a fast autofocus, OIS and smaller, this is something to consider. If you do not mind using the lens manually and only for video the Canon is a better option.

I don't think there some dedicated cage for the g6, but a generic one like the Gearbox GB2 can work:

I felt that the a7s was a little rushed product, maybe Sony has in works for a new fs100 generation (low light monster) until GH4 was appeared at CES, so Sony in a hurry put this sensor on the a7 and that is it.
No internal 4k recording is a downer also the 4K hdmi output at 8bit; sure the FF sensor will give us a lovely image, but i feel that a DSLR form factor as the GH4 make more sense for prolonged video recording, and Sony maybe never could resolve the overheating due to the size of the body and maybe that is the explanation of why we don't have XAVC 4k recording in body.
Personally for video the GH4 is a much more complete package and i'm sure it will be cheaper too.

Something i wish that Panasonic create is a dedicated video lens like the pre announced Sony 28-135mm f4.

Andrew, I really have no words to thank you about all the test and the energy you invested on this reviews, with all the info you give us have made my choice easier, but now the ambient became dark again with the rumored Sony launch of the a7s, just when i have been decided to get the GH4 the shadow of Sony appears ;)

What release date Panasonic is thinking? For what is for those hole in front of the adaptor? some sort of rods for MatteBox and Follow Focus?

The "cheapest: camera for "perfect" green screen work?
Simple, The Blackmagic Cinema Pocket.
Obviously you can do chromakey work with 4:2:0 cameras, this has been done for many years. but if you really are looking for the cleanest key do you need at least 4:2:2 and more if you need to key hair and translucency.
My basic needs for a good key are:
1. Lighting and subject isolation without spills.
2. Sharpness

Is good to see the improvements of the G6 over the G5, but i think the Nikon D5200 still a better option in that price range (body only).
 
D5200 over G6:

-APSC sensor
-24Mbit
-Live Hdmi output
 
G6 over the D5200:
-Size
-1080p @60fps
-Video assists (Peaking, Zebras)
-$50 cheaper

Well, certainly I cannot say I like. The heat go up in your desktop at 10" i don't know. I'm a long time Mac Pro user but for me this is a Mac Mini Pro, but certainly i prefer this to a Imac.

Well, certainly I cannot say I like. The heat go up in your desktop at 10" i don't know. I'm a long time Mac Pro user but for me this is a Mac Mini Pro, but certainly i prefer this to a Imac.

With a retail price close to $249 a new E-mount adapter with similar characteristics to the Metabones SpeedBooster has been announced by the Chinesse manufacter Mitakon, called the "Lens Turbo" is a dumb adapter without any electronic connection.
 
Already working with Canon FD and Pentax lenses we hope for to come. Have a very similar reduction as the Metabones but till now we don't know how good the cristal of the lens will be.

I'm totally sold on the BMCC, i'm a postproduction guy and 12bit 4:2:2, 2.5k resolution for green screen work, the BMCC is a bless for compositing.
