  1. Really cool from smallrig you can build a rig from parts on their website in a 3D space also in real time. A good way to visual any of your future rigs or if you plan to add/build on what you already have. https://3d.smallrig.com/

???? DisplayCAL is used to get your screen to show accurate color. Nothing to do with Resolve and LUT creation. Another with my Voigtlander 40mm. This time on the Z6 in Neutral

Not favourite fonts, but you can create a clip (eg, title) and configure all the settings and then copy it to a Power Bin which is available to all projects, then you can just drag it out of there onto your timeline, kind of like a preset. You might need to go to View -> Show Power Bins to see them, but then there's in the Media Pool and you can just drag things between there and the timeline.

This implies monitor calibration will apply to Devinchi as well. Seems that if you do a separate 3D LUT calibration in resolve it will look a bit better according to him. So you are correct if you want flawless calibration. Another one from my new Z6. Nikon 24-70 2.8G wide open, lighting fill added from camera left.

  7. There is No Cine cameras that have IBIS in them. So I don't see what the hell you would gain going that way. And most of them weigh a ton for a good reason. Buy a freaking Osmo Action and just be happy. Why the hell do people think if they buy a better camera they will be better! The camera is the least of most peoples problems.

  8. Take the GH5s off of the ronin? Edit: And buy a native OIS lens if you don’t think it’s “stabilized” enough. Edit2: I don’t want to sound like a jerk so sorry for my edits, but my original thought was more in terms of like, why spend all this money of a new camera+setup when you have something that you like and actually works for you. I shot a mini doc, run and gun with bmpcc4K and it looks great, so I can’t imagine you would do worse with a GH5s with IBS and OIS lenses.

  10. What are you talking about? We all miss this quality tremendously. It's such a beauty I can't wait to get one again. I mean look at this color science mojo! It almost beats an iPhone 5!!! Joke apart I am the first one to wish for a great Canon mirrorless. I am loyal to no brand and just pick the best tool for the job when needed. The mix of outdated tech, old management and cine line protection will prevent that for a while unfortunately.

    Blind Color Science Test

I haven't commented on this as I wanted to give it time to pan out but I had a search on YouTube for "Sony vs Fujifilm colour" and no other video creators have found it necessary to manipulate the thumbnail in this way to "get around the algorithm" and all of them seem to have done OK in terms of the number of views. I get trying to game the system @MaxYuryev if you feel you've been hard done by but do you not think by doing something so deliberately disingenuous as this you've now become part of the problem rather than the solution? What I'm really struggling to understand though is why it remains uncorrected this long after it has been pointed out and this long after you've admitted the deliberate deception. I'm afraid you can't hide behind the algorithm for that one and for what its worth, from my own personal point of view, whatever benefit of the doubt I'd given you for an aberration born of a sense of injustice and you at least having the honesty to admit to it, has evaporated by you not remedying it when you've had the opportunity.

  13. Something about this logic doesn't add up. The reason you get an X-T30 instead of an X-T3 is for the smaller size and lower price. So wouldn't it make more sense to add a LARGE and EXPENSIVE external recorder to the X-T3 instead? Doesn't seem to stop Gerald doing a dump on it though, even though he's yet another YouTuber with more money than common sense. Of course the smaller body size limits it thermally, it's very powerful hardware cramped into a smaller space so that's to be expected. It's got the 4K recording time limits for a reason. In other news... https://www.fujifilm.com/support/digital_cameras/software/firmware/x/xt30/index.html They fixed the Q button. None of the Fuji hipster designers used the camera after drawing it with their Apple pencils. Good job real engineers exist to save the day!

  14. How naive can some people get? Max is on a PR mission, he's not here to actually contribute to a forum. The PR mission is only necessary as he's been outed faking a shot to make Fuji look greener than Kermit The Frog. If it wasn't for that, he wouldn't be here. Max exists for clicks and to make money, and if he can use the research and knowledge of other people for free to further his content along the way then he's all the richer for it.

  17. Flog is not bad in 8 bit. Eterna is a great profile though for 8 bit, pretty nice dynamic range and a nice overall image. I'd definitely recommend the XT30. Its an awesome stills camera too. Using fuji's 18-55mm is like having IBIS. Of course you don't have the luxury of adapting stabilized vintage glass. The ability to throw a speedbooster on and get a full frame look is amazing too. XT30 + Speedbooster + a nifty fifty is awesome.

    Fujifilm X-T30?

So, is anyone actually using the X-T30? I am considering this as a substitute for my gx85. Tough I have been fine with saramonic external recorder on the top of the camera for solo shooting this seems to much a serious improve for a compact combo as many have pointed.( Don't feel like investing in m4/3 glass anymore and would love having better stills camera) . So, Have you found out if it is actually possible to use both the external monitor and have audio in? I also wonder how bad 8 bit h.264 flog would look like. I like this guys testing and was a bit afraid of h264 limitation on xt30 and at the same time craving for the results with log and eterna lut ( not baked in ) it is possible to get on xt3 and possibly externally on the xt30. I also heard a bad review from gerald undone saying it overheated even recording externally.. ?

  20. I'd advocate Canon for stills. Even when my wife had a 700d, her images smoked my Sony A6/A7 whatever just from pure image rendering. nearly every photographer I work with uses Canon. For video though, even though they have a few of industry leading features (reliability, DPAF, colour) - they've fallen way out of favour in the UK. Nearly everyone in the low and mid tier are shooting on Sony or Panasonic. Some Blackmagic. My local rental house has had to sell on their C300 II's because no one wants them. This is all because, and you can't deny it, that their video pipeline is an absolute mess. From the C700 bazooka to the immensely crippled EOS R - barley anyone wants them for video here because they lack features that Canon could easily include. They could wipe the floor in the sub-£10k market if they gave the C200 a 10bit (non-RAW) codec and better 120fps. But that camera has a major split personality and it puts potential buyers off (like me, who went for the EVA1 instead). Additionally, as most professionals own A,B and C cameras - their video lineup is a mess here too. Panasonic lead the way here and this to me is a huge selling point. There's no doubt you can create stunning images with whatever Canon - but their decisions in video features have had a severe impact on their universal attraction (for video in the UK). To the point of the post, they are SO frustrating because we all have a soft spot for them, and want them to deliver what we want. But they won't, and probably never will.
