    mounting Iscorama

hey mathias alan told me the same thing too about his stock depleting. if he stops that would be terrible. dod he say hes quitting for sure or thinking abt it. there arent any other good clamps in my opinion. the metal screw vamp clamps have cosmetically damaged my anamorphics before and arent secure enough for specific lenses. is there anyway we can all keep him in business? im just a little concerned....

  2. I just had a play with your files.  'Standard' profile looked best for my preference.  I have just started exporting a series of different grades.  some rather extreme.  I am really liking the headroom the footage is giving before any breakup occurs.   Should be uploaded shortly.  Cheers for sharing this.  You should try and get a friend to get in shot as it is always nice to have some skin in shot to judge what you can get in post:)  I'd love to see this same shot with some portraits in the foreground.

  3. Cheers my firend!   Varying degrees of Colorista II, Looks and Filmconvert.    Lots of small tweaks rather than big sweeping attacks on colour, which are all too common these days IMO.   I tried sharpening a bit but it looked very artificial, even just sharpening high frequency detail in the luinance channel.   Is in-camera sharpening on or off here?

  4. To be noted :   On my post about Bayer and 4:2:2. All I wrote is valid in 1:1 Bayer resolution to final resolution, meaning a 1920x1080 Bayer for a 1080 final resolution.   If you have higher resolution Bayer this change. Ideally, a bayer sensor should double (or quadruple) the final resolution, eg. 3840x2160 for a 1080 video. From there, you could get a nice 4:4:4 (slighlty oversampled in the green.)

  5. First Question: Will FCP X convert the 30fps to 24fps if FCP X is editing as a FCP timeline? Also, has anyone tried to slow down the visual slightly in FCP X and do they have any samples of it? I'm doing shots of a person walking up the street and shooting in 120 or 240 fps will alias some parts and I don't need extreme slow motion visuals for this shot, just half the speed of what I'm shooting (ie: 60 fps) Also, final question, does S&Q degrade the quality just like shooting Super Slow Motion does? I heard up to 60 fps, it will stay the same resolution as if shooting in 24 fps is this true?
