I've got a Sony system mainly for stills, but my A580 gives me video for now. My favorites are the DT 35 f1.8, Zeiss 85 f1.4 and Tokina 11-16.

The new Zeiss 24mm f1.8 is a NEX lens I believe. There's currently a Zeiss 24mm f2 for Alpha mount with SSM focusing. Expensive but much better than using the big 24-70mm 2.8 with SSM.

I meant to say 35mm 1.8DT
I read on the dpreview review of the nikon 35mm1.8g that since 35mm is less than the flange distance, they've had to employ a retrofocal design used on wide-angle lenses which can result in fringing. I've only seen the photozone review but fringing doesn't seem to be a problem.

I was talking about the nex system, didn't fully check the article that it was only talking about a-mount lenses for the a77. For the a-mount I've seen a 30mm f2.8 macro lens which is slow once again, but is cheap and seems to give a decent performance. The 35mm 1.4 would be better though, there isn't a native 35mm lens for the nex unfortunately :(

E mount is not the same as Alpha mount. F3.5 is very slow for a prime. 30mm is an odd focal length. Are you sure you are not confused here?

I've seen quite a few samples of the e mount 30mm f3.5 from dpreview
despite the poor specifications on paper, to my untrained eye the pictures look quite nice.
The Bokeh is very smooth and creamy, the pictures look sharp.
The focal length looks very close to our eyes, the perspective looks perfect.
Its just a shame the lens is so slow, it looks better than the kit lens at 30mm but whether the £190 is worth it considering its not any faster I don't know, have to wait and see when the reviews come in.
