Are you liking the 35mm 1.4 Ebrahim?

Too lazy to use it yet.

On first glance

- great construction (it is a much higher built lens than my normal Nikon vintage AI-S glass as the price indicates) with a lovely ring.

- Image looks great in lowlight photographs, a 35mm on s35 is so much more useful indoors than my 50mm that I got used to.

-f/1.4 is good, but not great. Certainly Usable for HD especially after grading back contrast/sharpness, so great to have in lowlight. Straight off the card with in-camera LOG no sharpness/contrast it's a hazy softish aesthetic with very shallow focus, at f/2 it's as sharp as you'd want.

I will use it properly to assess how it performs and get back to you.

It's not worth the 1100$ price given the other available options now, but it's worth twice what I paid. It's a lovely fully manual fast prime with high end built and adapts to any mount, with the downside of soft-ish f/1.4. Pretty great.

but at 1100$, not a chance in hell :d

The world's highest performing 35mm with AF and L built is 1700$. No comparison. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1180801-REG/canon_9523b002_35mm_f_1_4l_ii_usm.html

The very fine Sigma ART is 900$ http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/898836-REG/Sigma_340306_35mm_f_1_4_DG_HSM.html

More like a 400-500$-ish lens of value compared to my other glass.
