Which camera $500 - canon manual glass?

So I am in the process of upgrading some gear and need to sell some items to do so. I am wanting to pic up a camera for around $500, less is better than more, that takes very good stills and is usable for video. I am considering the Sony A6000 but am curious what other options might be out there. I would be shooting full manual canon/M42 glass. Thank in advance.

A6000 is the first that comes to my mind too. Great for stills, good sensor, nice EVF, decent video quality/options.
A5100 is even better for video (XAVC-S) and cheaper, but less practical for stills (no EVF).

Nikon dslr's are no options since your Canon glass won't fit. Canon dslrs are no option anyway ;) A6000 beats Micro Four Thirds for stills.

I don't think there's a better option.

A6000 price should fall further when A6100 or whatever (I'm still hoping it will be an a7000....) is announced, possibly next month.

an alternative could be a G6 or GX7 with a cheap focal reducer, would probably come in under $500. Nicer video IMO, less nice stills. I have an A6000 and a G6 with the AI-M43 Zhongyi focal reducer. The reducer is ok. If I was buying another reducer I'd probably go for a metabones EF with electronic contacts though.

Sony A6000 or Sony A5100 for sure (my latest blog post is about these two: http://ironfilm.co.nz/best-low-light-camera-which-isnt-the-sony-a7s-for-those-on-a-lower-budget/ as they have great low light!).

Panasonic GX7/G6 are another possibility.

Otherwise I'd only consider other choices if your budget goes up (Samsung NX1 / URSA Mini / Sony A7s / etc) or down (Panasonic GH1/GH2 or Sony NEX-5N).
