Tiny anamorphic lens advice -- old or new?

Hi there,

I have a chance to buy a Baby Hypergonar at a semi-reasonable price (still really pricey). I had been watching and researching it for quite a while. With newer options like the  VM anamorphic lens from anamorphic shop at relatively the same size and significantly cheaper, do you think its still worth it to go vintage for anamorphic lenses?

Any opinions on how these two compare, and if it's really worth it (more than just to have a bit of history) to get the Hypergonar?

Thank you for any comments or advice.

There were a post about VM lens, please find it.

IMO, VM lens is really tiny, only for very small sensor camera, like Pentax Q.  And it has no focus ability, so no comparison with single focus anamorphic lens.
