thecook Posted November 19, 2013 Share Posted November 19, 2013 I plan on getting the sigma 18-35mm f1.8 in a nikon mount as I plan on getting a blackmagic cinema MFT camera in the future and using it with a nikon to MFT speedbooster. The aperture of the lens is controlled mechanically by the lever on the side of the adapter. That's why I bought the Nikon version of the Sigma 18-35mm F1.8... Can use it on my EF BMCC and Canon 7D, whilst using it on my Speed Booster F mount, since the EF Speed Booster has seemingly been lost in space. BTW Not all Nikon adapters work. I am assuming the one I linked is the correct kind of adapter as it has a mechanism to control the aperture lever? Do you think the nikon version is a better investment as it has the ability to be manually controlled when the canon is electronic only, thus allowing it to work on a wider range of camera in the future?
