EOSHD Pro Color 5 for Sony cameras EOSHD Z LOG for Nikon CamerasEOSHD C-LOG and Film Profiles for All Canon DSLRs

The sensor is 4K but it only records 1080p...  looks like there will be V2 that records 4K.  If this recorded 4K it would be interesting, but 1080p from Canon leaves something to be desired resolution wise. Maybe this will be better with it  4 to 1 pixel scaling. Might be fantastic... we'll see.

No 4K. No slow motion. Not even any internal recording!! :-o

But at least it has 10bit 422

Basically is kinda like a Sony PMW-F3 but a little smaller, with dual pixel AF, and waaaaaaaay more expensive!

But I'd probably still prefer this over a C100 mk2 for the same price.

Oh and wouldn't have EF-M mount. It is locking EF mount.

Here is my response to all the usual hate that everything gets at Nofilmschool.

"When will Canon understand that the only type of camera user is the artsy narrative movie maker?
Why do they think that there are people out there taking stills, collecting news, surveilance, special things like remote controled robots, live broadcast, regular home users?
That doesnt exist. Just look through the comments.
Artsy narrative movies with no lighting in high frame rates and razor thin dof. That is the only type of content created anywhere in the world.
And the people that makes them are broke, so it cant cost as much as it needs for profit.

News, sports, porn, childrens TV, docs, reality, event, concerts....  Nope all gone.
In fact, all of those things are illegal to even discuss online.

Anyone who makes or even discuss such productions will be killed by the "Bitter Online Film Looking Video Makers Movement"."

So it's a C100II without the internal recording/buttons just in a box, but with SDI 10bit 422 outputs & Genlock in a small modular box/mounting options.

It should give higher than c100II quality for the 10bit 422 vs AVCHD but really this is a very very specific camera and the C100II is a better choice for most users due to the already built-up body and usability. Especially since the C100II stripped is very good for drones/pov/crash applications. All I can see this being better at is gimbals and live broadcast and multicam rigs for the Sync/Genlock/3GSDI/power and size.

We want a C100III with the C300II 4K chip even in 8bit. Come on.
