Congrats on the buy! (I think I was just watching that on eBay ;o) ha.)

I can mount mine in two ways, shown in the 3 photos here:

Your small rear ring is 24mm, so what ever you do you need to be able to connect 24mm to your main lens.

OPTION ONE: Clamp kit. http://www.ebay.com/itm/ANAMORPHIC-LENS-CLAMP-KIT-KOWA-SANKOR-SINGER-ISCO-/300569782054?pt=Camera_Lenses&hash=item45fb5ae726

This you can see in photo one and is the option I most use (because of the issue below (otherwise I'd use option 2)). You need the right step up rings to connect. This example is a 40mm Canon lens with a 52mm thread, and it works super easily. Now, because the rear ring on the Bolex is 24mm (quite small); you will most likely need a step up ring like mine (24-37) to attach here.

OPTION TWO: Step up rings only. See photos 2 & 3. I use a 24mm to 37mm step up ring. If you look at photos 2 and 3 you'll see a 50mm Canon lens with a 58mm thread. You can also see a 58mm - 37mm step down ring which connects this lens to the bolex. Now there is a downside to this method which is that I can't quite "twist" the bolex all the way into the 58-37 so that its perfectly aligned because the threading "stops". I use an elastic band between the rings to help here. If anyone else can help with this, I'd appreciate the input. In other words: if you look at photo 1, you can see a white line. This white line must be properly aligned with the top of the camera, unlike a normal spherical lens where you can just pop it in. So that's why option 1 works best.

My explanations above are a little convoluted but it's all super-simple though. Good luck.

if you have to ask what the difference is between british shit and china turds i will assume you understand what is best for your treasure.the question is why not make your own vamp clamp it will look the same once you have drilled 3 holes in the tin.and look at the price difference.http://www.ebay.com/...=item27c9d3b860one other thing since you said hmmmm.ed lee in hong kong and vamp camp both got stuff from me then started selling afterwards.
you could say the shitter from london does not sell any way near as much as the others but that just shows what interesting taste folks have got.it is all about individual choice and taste i suppose.
dennis parker thought this shirt and tight pant combo was cool.
i would have a problem with that set up.
