    • For those in love with the FULL FRAME look which system gets closest in 4K?
A practical approach ... Get a 70-200mm zoom lens, set to say, 100mm, shoot a 4K clip on 5DMK IV, extract a single frame, or simply take note. Set the 5DMK IV to either FHD or stills, zoom in until the image left and right sides are similar to previously extracted frame grab. This new lens zoom setting, xxxmm, is the lens focal length multiplier to use. Strictly speaking it's not the crop factor, but it's what we want to know. I think this is aĀ more practical way of looking at it, the 2nd zoom setting will be close enough to previous calculations to show what to use mathematically in future.
    • Rectilux Core DNA - non-rotating single-focus attachment for anamorphic lenses
Wow, amazing footage! Ā 23 - 50 seconds on the second test video look absolutely stunning! Ā  How do you find the Core DNA both from a working perspective and also from a image quality perspective? Awesome work once again, look forward to any more you can provide...
    • GH5 10-bit 4:2:2 internalšŸ‘
I'd like to see a "pro" version of this camera.Ā  Or another camera in the 3-$4,000 range.Ā  I think Panasonic can knock it out the park and Blackmagic will be in a heap of trouble.Ā  If they could just add a CFast 2.0 slot, 10 bit 422 and give us high frame rates at 4K I'd be in heaven.
    • Do you think the 1D C will hold it's value long term in the face of all this bullshit?
AF with Canon lenses on M4/3 can be quite quick depending on the adapter/lens/camera. I use AF with my A7s and a couple of Canon AFĀ lenses and while slow can have its uses (AFS only for me).Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā  The same lenses (18-55 IS ii kit lens and 40 2.8 STM currently but have had others too) work nicely for fast AF (again, AFS only) on my GX7 and Kipon adapter.Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā  My Sigma 150 2.8 in Canon EF, I use for MF only on the A7s but is nice for fast AF (AFS) on my GX7. Very different angle of view but that is partly why I have both.Ā Ā  For video, my main used lenses with my A7s are the manual focus anyway 17 f4 L TS-E and native Sony Zeiss 55 1.8 and 28-70 FE kit lens.Ā Ā Ā Ā  AFC is surprisingly good (for video- not stills) with the two native Sony's for my uses but I really just shoot bands where the subject doesn't move far very often or too fast.
    • Canon stop making the 1D C - Listed discontinued at CVP! Is a replacement just around the corner?
OlikMIA: No, WEĀ are representing a minority segment! As the forum is more video orientated, it is normal to expect people to be more enthousiastic with "cheap" C300iis, than expensive hybrids. Panasonic is always interesting but they have to overcome their sensor size (I do not see them going FF with the GH5), Sony is Sony (in a bad way). For many people mkIV is just right, maybe it is ok for you too. Hybrid/mirrorlessĀ cameras are the present and the near future. I do not see the point of dSLRs anymore andĀ I am not that crazy about conventions such "I want full frame".
