    • NO!!! Digital Bolex has stopped making cameras!
I was always intrigued by the DB - some of the most gorgeous images of this era came from the thing. Always seemed a little overpriced and under-featured to me though. S16 was a tough sell lens-wise (the pocket's price point was what made sifting through old super-16 glass palatable for many), and a "beauty" camera that can't even do 30p - I couldn't go there. And as robust as SSDs are, I've replaced two of them in the last couple years, so a non-user-servicable drive worried me as well. If it could have done 30 or 60p, and come in at under $3k with a quality focal length reducer, I'd have been in long ago. Hate to see it go though.
    • Stolen GH2, GH3 and lenses in France
sorry to hear... I lost my whole camera setup years ago this way.. in france.. along with my car and everything else lol.. I tried local markets the next days.. those markets where people just have a blanket on the floor and on it what looks like the inside of a travelling bag... had no luck. the car was seen one or two month later, two black guys trying to cross border to england... well.. english border control did not react fast enough and they got away.. since your case is already 20 days old.. i guess you are looking for a needle that someone might have dropped into a haystack, or somewhere else... :/
    • Another 3-axis gimbal on the market
It gets interesting at the 1:22 mark.  They show multiple times in the video people playing with zoom rings while using the gimbal.  I hope that's not by accident.  That is impossible to do on my Pilotfly H1+.  I hope someone gets to review it because it seems like the stabilization market is already pretty well established.  Below $600 on ebay, not a bad price but it's not gonna be a game changer either.  2 18650 Li-ion batteries like the Came-TV Single.  That handle looks obnoxiously long, but then again, maybe not a bad thing.  It's not like I carry the Pilotfly in my pocket. I own a Zhiyun Z1 Smooth C, which is a sub $200 gimbal that works well for my Galaxy Note 4/5 and stabilizes smartphones just as well as my Pilotfly H1+ stabilizes my cameras.   Edit: Oh just a warning before you buy though.  I'm guessing it's not compatible with SimpleBCG which is powerful for fine tuning.  The Zhiyun software for the smartphone is very very basic.  Just does firmware upgrades and calibration.
    • 1080 vs. 4K: What is REALLY necessary?
Jpegs are fine in the same way that avchd is fine. But if you don't want crushed shadows and blown out highlights, then Raw is the way to go.
    • Advice for an adapter (Zhongy, Metabones, RJ)
I don't know how you camera "guessed" it though. I think it was preset @50mm as a factory setting.
